Again, somehow, managed to miss the opening ceremony. Don't ask me how, because I was THERE, waiting for the thing to start, and still I managed to mess that up.
Goes to show you how confusing these things can be, not in terms of bad organization because, trust me, this year it was tons more well organized than last year. The JIB crew are definitely growing into their roles and improving towards perfection.
It's just that... well, it's a LOT of people!
So, day one! We had Richard as an opener, and man... that guy is an entertainer! Always funny, straight forward and absolutely unpredictable.
The thing this year (besides Sebastian's TIGHT LEOTARD- which I'm sure you've heard all about by now), seemed to be dragging the poor, terrified and nervous fans to the stage. Because, we all know how that helps with a nervous break down *g*
After Richard had cleared the stage and allowed for the insanity that is Sebastian on little sleep, it was Misha's time. And man... the ways that guy finds of not answering a single question are simply brilliant. I think it was in this panel (or I might be completely off) that he told this really sweet story about his baby boy and how Wess is learning sign language. According to the proud dad, his son 'speaks' sign language with a really heavy accent *g* because he misses the right way of doing most signs.
After him, we had an absolute treat with Mr. Lucifer himself, Mark! The man is insanely intense! Even though, being a big Lost fan, I could not waste my chance of asking 'Jacob' a question. Aaaand I think he was slightly hurt when I called Jacob a 'momma's boy' *g*
Unfortunately, his was the last panel I saw on Friday (it was a frigging huge day on Friday, getting up at 4 am to grab a flight to Rome in time to be there for the opening ceremony that we ended up MISSING ANYWAY!!!!)
Ok... I'll be back later with some tales from the cocktail party ;)
